Synopsis

A typical fourth grader's life is disrupted when a blue robotic cat emerges from his desk drawer. Calling himself Doraemon, the visitor explains he was sent by the boy's descendants in the 22nd century, who suffer due to the boy's future errors. Doraemon's role is to guide and mentor the child so their future circumstances can improve. The boy proves to be academically weak and habitually lazy, which complicates Doraemon's efforts. Equipped with a four-dimensional pocket full of future devices, the robot attempts to help, but the gadgets often create additional complications. The central question remains whether Doraemon can successfully change the boy's path or if he will stay largely the same.
