Nobita needs a subject for his summer research assignment and, blaming the fall of Adam and Eve for humanity's troubles, receives a gadget from Doraemon to witness the world's beginnings so he can record it as a diary-style report. Suneo, Giant, and Shizuka join the observation, and together the group watches early tribes and the rise of civilizations. Meanwhile, the time patrol is searching for an unauthorized time machine after overhearing Giant mention the genesis-diary plan; Suneo and Giant are seized, leaving Nobita, Shizuka, and Doraemon to continue monitoring the creation scenes while attempting to free their friends.
