After asking his teacher where a heavenly realm might be while learning about clouds, Nobita faces ridicule and becomes determined to find evidence of such a place among the clouds. Doraemon explains that a literal heaven among clouds is impossible by scientific reasoning, which leaves Nobita disheartened. To comfort him, Doraemon assists Nobita in constructing their own realm within the clouds. Their experiment uncovers an unexpected reality: beings that have inhabited the clouds for generations, revealing an unseen society above the ground.
