When Nobita asks Doraemon for a device that makes a world of magic possible, everyday life shifts from technology to sorcery—except for Nobita, who struggles with spells. Unable to reverse the change because the device has been discarded, he faces growing frustration. Meanwhile, Doraemon and the group encounter Professor Mangetsu, a researcher of magical creatures, and his daughter Miyoko, who warn them that a dangerous celestial body called the "star of the Underworld" is approaching Earth's orbit. With the planet's safety imperiled, the friends embark on a mission into the Underworld to follow ancient guidance: strike the Underworld King's heart with a silver dart as instructed in "The Chronicles of the Underworld." Their initial effort fails and Miyoko is taken captive. Using time travel and Dorami's version of the wish-device, the team succeeds in restoring their Earth, but the Underworld conflict persists in a parallel reality where Miyoko remains imprisoned. Confronted with this lingering danger, Doraemon and his companions return to the Underworld to confront and defeat its ruler to protect both worlds.
