Synopsis

A world populated by varied creatures called Pokémon draws aspiring trainers who capture and train them, often to compete in battles. On his tenth birthday, Satoshi finally begins his ambition to become a Pokémon Master, but the usual starter choices are gone, leaving him with Pikachu, an independent Electric-type. That meeting becomes the foundation of a lasting bond and the start of an extensive journey. Together with companions Kasumi, who specializes in Water-type Pokémon, and Takeshi, a Rock-type trainer, Satoshi travels through expansive, scenic regions, seeking Gym Badges required to qualify for the Pokémon League. Along the way they confront recurring threats from Team Rocket, an organization bent on stealing powerful Pokémon through illicit means. Satoshi and his friends must impede those plots while Satoshi advances toward his goal of mastering Pokémon training.
