A long-foretold prediction speaks of a moment when titans of ice, lightning, and fire are roused, and that the sea guardian Lugia will emerge to reestablish balance. Motivated by this prophecy, Gelardan, a Pokémon collector, departs on his airship with a grim scheme to seize Lugia by targeting those three elemental titans. After Gelardan acts, abrupt shifts in the world’s climate occur, unleashing violent storms across the planet. One such tempest forces the vessel carrying trainers Satoshi, Kasumi, and Kenji off course, depositing them on Shamouti Island. There Satoshi learns of the prophecy and is identified as the destined individual meant to assist Lugia in restoring equilibrium. Confronted with a crisis that jeopardizes everything, Satoshi must find the resolve to confront the unfolding chaos and thwart Gelardan’s plan.
