Synopsis
Giovanni tracks Mewtwo to a secluded part of the Johto region and attempts to seize it again. During efforts to free Pikachu from Jessie and James, Ash and his companions are taken captive by Domino, a newly introduced Team Rocket operative. The artificially created Pokémon are also confined and leveraged as a trap to draw out Mewtwo. The conflict intensifies into a confrontation between Giovanni’s intent to dominate and Mewtwo’s resistance, while Mewtwo struggles with existential questions about its own identity and the reason for the clones’ existence, confronting the reality of being manufactured beings.
