Synopsis

While traveling through Johto, Satoshi and his companions arrive at Altomare, an island city hosting the yearly Pokémon Water Race. During their stay, Satoshi experiences baffling incidents: he unexpectedly loses the race, witnesses a group of women attack a girl using Pokémon, and later finds that the same girl denies ever encountering him and Pikachu. The mystery resolves when Satoshi discovers the rescued figure is actually Latias, a Pokémon that assumes the appearance of her human companion, Kanon. Latias and her counterpart Latios are the Eon Pokémon who inhabit and watch over Altomare, alongside a mystical blue artifact called the Soul Dew. Local lore links an ancient Altomare legend to the Eon Pokémon and the Soul Dew—knowledge shared by the thief sisters Zanner and Lyon. As those thieves attempt to seize the Eon Pokémon and the Soul Dew, Satoshi must intervene to prevent the threat from bringing calamity to the island.
