Synopsis

In a realm inhabited by remarkable Pokémon, a reserved youth named Liko departs her native Paldea to enroll at Indigo Academy in Kanto and pursue the role of a Pokémon trainer—someone who builds bonds with Pokémon and guides them in combat. Early in her journey she befriends Nyahoja, a capricious Grass-type cat Pokémon that becomes her initial companion. Before Liko's move, her grandmother entrusts her with a luminous pendant bearing an unusual pattern, intended as a safeguard. An obscure faction calling themselves The Explorers appears to be aware of the pendant's significance and attempts to seize it, but Liko is saved by the Rising Volt Tacklers, an expeditionary group led by Friede, a trainer who travels atop a Lizardon. After further clashes with The Explorers, Liko opts to travel with Friede and his teammates, joining their expedition across regions to investigate the broader mysteries of the Pokémon world and to learn more about the pendant's latent abilities and importance.
