After the Wicked King's defeat, the monarch of the Garden of Light is left without recollection and is reborn on Earth as a 12-year-old girl named Hikari Kujou. Joined by Nagisa and Honoka—each gaining new outfits and abilities—she seeks twelve Heartiels whose recovery is essential to restoring the queen's vanished memories. Together they must reunite those fragments and, once assembled, resume their roles as Pretty Cure.
