Nozomi Yumehara, an ordinary schoolgirl, uncovers a mystical book called the Dream Collet in her school library and encounters two beings from the Palmier Kingdom, Coco and Nuts. They explain that their homeland was devastated by an antagonistic force known as the Nightmares and request Nozomi’s help to rebuild it. To restore the kingdom they must complete the Dream Collet by collecting 55 Pinkies, items that will grant a single wish when gathered. As the Nightmares start encroaching on the human world, Nozomi accepts the task; Coco and Nuts activate her transformation into the magical warrior Cure Dream and empower four classmates to join her as members of the Pretty Cure team. The series follows their efforts to recover the Pinkies, protect the real world from the Nightmares’ influence, and pursue the hope of reviving the Palmier Kingdom.
