Synopsis

After surviving a violent whirlpool in a barrel, the lighthearted Monkey D. Luffy is rescued onto a vessel besieged by ruthless pirates. Though he appears like an innocent adolescent, Luffy possesses extraordinary combat ability and an indomitable resolve. He sets out as a pirate determined to locate the legendary One Piece and claim the title of King of the Pirates. The previous King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger, provoked the world by revealing the location of his treasure before his execution, prompting countless powerful crews to brave deadly seas in pursuit of that same prize, many never returning. Lacking an established crew or a proper ship at first, Luffy relies on his supernatural gifts and unwavering spirit, which both intimidate foes and inspire others. Smiling through danger, he gradually attracts distinctive allies who join his quest, and together they confront hazards and marvels on a singular voyage.
