Synopsis

Following devastating loss at Marineford, Monkey D. Luffy is isolated on the dangerous isle of Rusukaina, a place filled with massive hostile fauna. He dedicates himself to an intensive two-year regimen to acquire Haki, a combat skill that grants practitioners various battle abilities. His solitary training is interrupted when Sandersonia and Marigold, sisters of his companion Boa Hancock, are forcibly taken. With Hancock’s assistance, Luffy pursues the pirate linked to the abduction—an escapee whose breakout was indirectly caused by Luffy’s prior impulsive actions. Confronted by this new adversary, Luffy must apply his growing Haki proficiency while confronting the profound grief that has shadowed him since Marineford.
