Synopsis

For a century and a half, a tense equilibrium held between two galactic powers: the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. That balance fractures as a new generation of leaders emerges. On one side, Reinhard von Lohengramm, an ambitious and ideal-driven military tactician, advances through Imperial ranks with support from his childhood friend, Siegfried Kircheis. Reinhard’s ambitions extend beyond battlefield victory; he confronts the decaying Goldenbaum household and the imperial court to rescue his sister and pursue the unification of humanity under a single, sincere ruler. Across the galaxy, Yang Wenli—a reserved historian committed to democratic principles—must defend those ideals amid the FPA’s struggles, guiding his protégé Julian Mintz and arguing against autocratic solutions. As military engagements and heavy losses mount, contrasting convictions and personal motives collide, forcing both commanders to examine the deeper purpose behind their conflict.
