Synopsis

Gintoki Sakata is absent and the Yorozuya operate under the leadership of Kintoki, a golden-haired lookalike who has assumed the central role. To recover his place, Gintoki must rely on allies—complicated by the fact that nobody seems to recognize him anymore. As rivalry for the spotlight intensifies, the Yorozuya also revisit Yoshiwara's red-light district to assist an elderly courtesan pursuing a vanished lover. Though the district no longer lies imprisoned beneath the earth, its people remain burdened by sorrowful histories. Through a series of recollections, the team encounters enduring affections and commits themselves to safeguard that love with everything they have.
