Synopsis

Centuries ago, human and youkai realms briefly merged, allowing many beings to cross into the opposite world. Over time, Sakurashin developed into a focal point for these inter-dimensional interactions: the city's Seven Pillars draw youkai, and the Hiizumi Life Counseling Office handles relations and public welfare. The office includes Hime Yarizakura, Sakurashin's youthful mayor; satori Ao Nanami, who perceives others' thoughts; half-youkai Kotoha Isone, who can materialize objects by naming them; oni siblings Kyousuke and Touka Kishi; and director Akina Hiizumi, who inherited a skill to banish youkai back to their realm. Beyond mediation and volunteer duties, the office responds to rare but dangerous events called Strikes, where humans suddenly gain youkai abilities and go violent. As Strikes rise, a sinister figure emerges, political tensions increase, and hostile forces converge on the city. The Life Counseling Office assumes responsibility for defending Sakurashin and preserving the peaceful community it serves.
