Synopsis
Long ago, humans and demons coexisted peacefully until demons began to turn on humanity and schemed to free Gyumao, a malignant entity sealed for millennia. In response, Genjo Sanzo, a disaffected priest, forms an uneasy alliance with three demons—Sha Gojyo, Son Goku, and Cho Hakkai. Together they set out on a hazardous westward quest to prevent the demons' plan to revive Gyumao and to try to reestablish balance between the human and demon realms on Earth.
