Synopsis
Priest Genjo Sanzo leads a small band—Cho Hakkai, Sha Gojyo, and Son Goku—on a journey west aimed at stopping the revival of the demon Gyoumao. Known as the Sanzo Ikkou, their renown draws repeated attacks from demon assassins as they advance. Beyond confronting external threats, the group faces growing interpersonal strains that threaten their unity even as they prepare to confront a formidable adversary.
