Synopsis

After joining the anti-bakufu resistance, Gintoki and his companions lie low alongside Katsura and his Joui fighters. They are visited by Nobume Imai and two Kiheitai members, who reveal that the Harusame pirates have betrayed Captain Kamui of the 7th Division and turned on their previous ally Takasugi. The Kiheitai assign Gintoki the task of locating Takasugi, who vanished after his vessel was struck in a Harusame attack. Nobume also discloses the existence of the Tendoushuu, a clandestine organization manipulating multiple groups, and their leader Utsuro, a mysterious figure bearing a striking likeness to Gintoki’s former mentor. Boarding Sakamoto’s spacecraft, the Yorozuya and Katsura travel to Rakuyou, Kagura’s birthplace, where numerous factions converge and tensions escalate. Personal vendettas, internal political struggles, and the Tendoushuu’s concealed agenda build toward a large-scale, decisive confrontation on Rakuyou.
