In Fuyuki City the Fifth Holy Grail War begins, promising prolonged violence, loss, and suffering. Rin Toosaka, a high schooler shaped by lifelong magus training, aims to qualify as a Master in this deadly contest. She calls forth her Servant, known as Archer, and joins the conflict. When Rin realizes that an acquaintance, Shirou Emiya, is also pulled into the war, she proposes a temporary partnership. As they cooperate and their relationship develops, Rin gains insight into Shirou’s path and convictions, yet her primary objective remains unchanged: to secure the legendary artifact capable of granting the victor’s deepest wish—the Holy Grail.
