Synopsis

While transporting a load of fur pelts, traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence stops in the rural village of Pasloe, where old tales tell of a pact between the community and a wolf deity who ensured rich wheat harvests. Those legends have faded into memory. After concluding his business, Lawrence departs but soon discovers a young, animal-eared woman sleeping among his goods. She identifies herself as Holo, the wolf of the old stories, and seeks to return to her northern homeland. Their initial meeting is uneasy, yet Holo persuades Lawrence to travel with her. She promises to contribute by applying her sharp mind and long experience to support their livelihood. As they journey together, they pursue various economic prospects, facing challenges that probe both their commercial acumen and the evolving bond between them.
