Synopsis

In the year 2977 AD, human society has grown lethargic: automated machines perform labor, subliminal signals keep the populace placid, and officials devote themselves to leisure. Captain Herlock rejects this complacency and gathers a crew of dissenters aboard the spaceship Arcadia, seeking a life of risk and purpose. A hostile presence known as the Mazone emerges, manifesting as cloaked women who eliminate those who uncover their schemes. Tadashi Daiba, whose scientist father is dismissed by authorities and slain by the invaders, becomes targeted and joins Herlock’s band of pirates. Together they confront the Mazone threat while struggling to prevent further harm to humanity.
