Synopsis

Teppei Sugou, once the top pilot of the National Defence Army's 15th Integrated Task Force and now an enforcer, is approached by a Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative with an offer to re-enlist. While weighing the proposal, he is forced to confront the final months of his prior service. During his last assignment—Operation Foot Stamp, a covert strike against the Southeast Asian Union—the ground campaign collapsed and Sugou's First Guardian drone was sent to provide aerial aid by delivering urgent supplies before returning. Acting on orders that contradicted his instincts, Sugou left fellow soldiers behind on the battlefield. The operation resulted in heavy casualties, including the death of Sugou's commanding officer, Itsuki Ootomo. Three months later, after an attack on the Ministry of Defence, surveillance footage placed Ootomo at the scene, implicating him in the atrocity. Sugou then collaborates with Enforcer Tomomi Masaoka and Division 01 of the Criminal Investigation Department as they pursue his former mentor, grappling with memory, duty, and the consequences of past choices.
