Synopsis

In a near-future era where humanity's progress spawns widely used robots known as Labors, some individuals exploit these machines for criminal purposes. Law enforcement responds by deploying Patrol Labors, or Patlabors, specialized robotic units to confront offenses involving Labors. Noa Izumi, a novice police officer, joins a dedicated Patlabor team and is assigned her own combat labor, Alphonse. As she and her colleagues operate to thwart those who misuse advanced technology, Noa must also adapt to life within the unit, balancing duty with interpersonal dynamics. She forms bonds with the reserved Asuma Shinohara, fellow pilot Isao Oota, and other squad members while the team faces conspiracies, internal uprisings, and encounters with unexplained phenomena.
