Synopsis

Nanoha Takamachi is a regular third-grade girl who enjoys life with her family and friends. After rescuing an injured ferret she had dreamed about, the creature reaches out to her telepathically and asks for help. The ferret reveals himself as Yuuno Scrya, a mage from another realm who accidentally dispersed twenty-one hazardous Jewel Seeds across the world and needs assistance retrieving them. Yuuno entrusts Nanoha with a magical staff called Raising Heart and trains her to wield magic so she can aid in the recovery. As Nanoha begins reclaiming several Jewel Seeds, another mage named Fate Testarossa appears. Fate demonstrates greater power and refuses to explain her motives for gathering the seeds; Nanoha perceives a deep sadness in her, but Fate remains guarded. Directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, the story centers on the emotional tension that emerges when differing objectives bring these characters into conflict.
