Synopsis
In 1864 Japan, Chizuru Yukimura sets out to locate her father Koudou, a doctor who has been absent for months. Traveling to Kyoto while disguised as a man, she encounters ronin and witnesses them slaughtered by feral white-haired assailants. The Shinsengumi intervene to eliminate the attackers, then bind Chizuru and bring her to their headquarters while debating whether she is a threat. When she names her father, the group chooses to protect her, revealing they have also sought Koudou. As connections between Koudou and the Shinsengumi emerge, Chizuru becomes drawn into violent clashes between the Shinsengumi and their adversaries amid rising political unrest in Kyoto.
