Synopsis

Karasuno High's volleyball squad reaches the Inter-High tournament where they confront Date Tech, the team that dominated them previously. That earlier defeat resurfaces doubts among the second- and third-year members, who struggled against Date Tech's effective read block. With energetic freshmen Shouyou Hinata and Tobio Kageyama added to the lineup, Karasuno must confront its past setbacks and attempt to pierce the defensive wall that haunted them. In the following round they are matched with Aoba Jousai High, an accomplished school captained by Tooru Oikawa. Oikawa, who attended middle school with Kageyama, is a skilled and unpredictable setter harboring a personal grudge. The upcoming matches center on the clash between two gifted setters and will determine which team advances in the Inter-High.
