Synopsis

Shinra Kusakabe emerges from a confrontation with his younger brother determined to protect lives threatened by flame phenomena. He focuses on reversing the transformation of Infernals back into humans, locating answers about the Evangelist and Adolla Burst, and rescuing his missing family members. The Evangelist seeks to assemble eight individuals who harbor Adolla power and sacrifice them to reenact a catastrophic event from two and a half centuries earlier. With intelligence indicating a new pillar will soon appear, Shinra commits to defending other Adolla bearers. This leads to escalating clashes between the Special Fire Force and the Evangelist's forces. As battles unfold, Shinra and his comrades pursue the origins of the Great Cataclysm, the mechanics of Adolla Bursts, and the causes of spontaneous human combustion while striving to protect those targeted by the Evangelist.
