Synopsis

In the American city of Snowfield, a renewed Holy Grail contest emerges, drawing together mage practitioners who become Masters by calling forth Servants—heroic spirits from history. The victor is believed to receive the power to realize a single desire. Yet this iteration is an imperfect recreation of the Third Holy Grail War rather than a true repetition. The Mage's Association in London takes notice, prompting Flatt Escardos, apprentice to Lord El-Melloi II (a veteran of the Fourth Holy Grail War), to travel to Snowfield. Against his mentor's concerns, Flatt becomes one of the Masters. As the ritual unfolds in a distorted form that confuses the roles of Masters and Servants, competing groups struggle to keep the city from descending into widespread disorder.
