Seven years after Majin Buu's fall, Earth enjoys a period without external threats and its inhabitants live in relative safety. That calm is interrupted when a slumbering menace in the distant galaxy becomes active: Beerus, the implacable God of Destruction. Troubled by a prophecy foretelling his defeat at the hands of a 'Super Saiyan God,' Beerus, accompanied by his angelic guide Whis, sets out to locate this prophesied combatant. Their search eventually leads them to Earth, where they encounter Gokuu Son—one of the planet's strongest defenders—and his formidable companions. The arrival of Beerus and Whis foreshadows a confrontation that challenges the fragile peace and places Gokuu and his friends at the center of a cosmic conflict.
