Synopsis

Kimihiro Watanuki has long lived with an ability to perceive spirits. In this continuation of his story, he remains bound to the peculiar Yuuko, proprietor of a mysterious shop that occupies a threshold between the living and the dead. Yuuko promised to remove his unwanted power, but only after he has labored sufficiently to earn that wish. In this realm, any request presented to the shop requires a payment equal to the desired outcome, and Watanuki’s service is part of that balance. Days are spent tending to domestic tasks for the seemingly indifferent Yuuko and assisting her associates, while attending to visitors whose petitions carry unforeseen repercussions. Alongside classmates—including the stoic Doumeki and the gentle Himawari—Watanuki confronts the troubles that afflict the shop’s clients and the personal difficulties that shadow him and his friends.
