Synopsis

Watanuki, who employed himself at Yuuko’s strange shop to rid himself of his spirit-sight, carries out various tasks for her in exchange for that relief. In this story, he, his friendly rival Doumeki, and their companion Kohane with her grandmother share a quiet meal and reflect on how their lives have shifted since they first met. Watanuki then experiences a visit in a dream from Doumeki’s grandfather, Haruka, who asks him to retrieve certain objects from the ancestral temple’s storage. Joined by Doumeki, Watanuki follows a sequence of clues among the stored items; each discovery points to the next, turning the assignment into a progressive search that culminates in an outcome both surprising and fitting for those involved.
