Synopsis

Vash the Stampede is a man of contrasts: notorious across the barren world of Gunsmoke as the destructive "Humanoid Typhoon," yet personally nonviolent and compassionate, guided by a strict pacifist ethic. Two decades earlier, a bank robbery collapsed, and its leader, Gasback Gallon Getaway, vowed revenge on both his treacherous crew and the person who prevented him from executing them—Vash. The betrayers have since prospered as prominent businessmen and politicians, but Gasback's resentment remains, and he sets out to dismantle them one after another by ruthless means. Vash arrives in Macca City at a critical moment to oppose Gasback's scheme. He joins forces with the enigmatic Amelia Ann McFly and the insurance operatives Milly Thompson and Meryl Stryfe, preparing to confront the unfolding threat while maintaining his commitment to avoid killing. The story balances tensions between reputation and reality, vengeance and restraint, and follows their efforts to stop a calculated campaign of retribution without betraying Vash's moral code.
