Synopsis

Freshman tennis talent Ryouma Echizen joins the Seishun Academy Boys' Tennis Team as they enter the National Tournament aiming for the championship. Their opening match pits them against Higa Middle School, an Okinawa squad regarded as the tournament's surprise contender that uses questionable methods to win; Seishun resolves to demonstrate the worth of honest, hard-fought victories. If they advance, Seishun will confront former rivals Hyoutei Academy in the quarterfinals, a team intent on reclaiming honor after setbacks at the Kanto Regionals and vindicating their place at Nationals after earning entry via a special invitation. The story follows Ryouma and his teammates as they face familiar and new opponents, each embodying different philosophies about how the sport should be played, at the outset of the long-awaited national competition.
