Synopsis

Ryouma Echizen, a young tennis talent summoned back from the United States by his father, arrives in Japan with the goal of rising to the top of the national tennis scene. He enrolls at Seishun Academy, which houses one of the strongest middle school tennis squads in the country. Though only a first-year student, Ryouma attracts the captain’s attention and is given the chance to compete for a place in the starting lineup through the school's internal ranking matches. His age prompts initial hesitation among the existing team members, but his on-court ability and resolve win their acceptance. With this new rookie added to their roster, Seishun Academy pursues qualification for the National Tournament by progressing through the Tokyo Prefectural and Kanto Regional competitions. Along the way they encounter many formidable rival schools, each with distinct playing styles and motivations, requiring Ryouma and his teammates to develop teamwork and adapt if they hope to achieve their championship ambitions.
