Synopsis

In the winter of 1995, Mikiya Kokutou encounters a young woman in the snow wearing a white kimono and offering a mysterious smile. That spring he sees her again at his high school entrance ceremony and they begin to interact during lunch, gradually becoming acquaintances as Shiki Ryougi slowly reveals aspects of her unusual upbringing. At the same time, Mifune City is shaken by a string of unusually savage killings that prompt a major police response. Through his cousin, who works in law enforcement, Mikiya obtains information about the ongoing investigation. Worried about Shiki’s wellbeing, he starts to track her movements and, in the process, uncovers a terrifying truth that irrevocably alters his life.
