Synopsis
In late 1990s Japan, newspapers report multiple suicides sharing unsettling similarities. All victims jumped from the Fujou building, a decrepit, deserted high-rise overlooking the city. Shiki Ryougi, a detached young woman living alone who wields an occult ability, suspects forces beyond the natural are at work. She collaborates with Touko Aozaki, a specialist in crafting dolls and in magical investigations, and Mikiya Kokotou, Touko's aide and friend. Together they probe the disturbing pattern, with Shiki navigating an obscure, otherworldly realm to piece together the hidden truths behind the phenomenon while avoiding explicit revelations that would spoil the mystery.
