Synopsis

After advancing from the qualifying round toward the Kansai regional contest, the Kitauji High School concert band focuses on preparing for the next event. During summer break they attend an intensive camp led by their advisor Noboru Taki along with several professional musician acquaintances who serve as instructors. Kumiko Oumae and her peers are resolved to earn a top prize at the Kansai competition, yet the atmosphere is disrupted when a former member who had left the ensemble shows interest in returning, stirring difficult memories among the second-year students. Kumiko also uncovers unexpected details about her teacher’s history and the reasons behind his drive to guide the group toward success. The path to nationals demands rigorous practice and will challenge each student’s dedication to the band.
