Synopsis

A parallel realm's predators, the Crimson Denizens, feed on human life force, leaving behind barely perceptible remnants of souls known as Torches. These fragments gradually vanish, erasing victims from others' memories. To halt this unseen extinction, warriors called Flame Hazes wage a constant battle against the Denizens. High school student Yuuji Sakai is pulled into a temporal rift and assaulted by a Denizen, only to be saved by a mysterious hunter who appears as an ordinary girl with burning crimson hair and blazing eyes. Before Yuuji can grasp his situation, he realizes he exists only as a Torch, a fading scrap of memory destined to be extinguished.
