Synopsis

Set in the aftermath of a catastrophic duel at Sekigahara in 1600, two distinguished swordsmen collided: Kyoushirou Mibu, a dignified warrior endowed with the Mibu Clan's distinctive abilities, and the blood-eyed mass killer known as "Demon Eyes" Kyou. Their confrontation was interrupted when a falling meteor struck the battlefield, causing both combatants to disappear. Four years later, the story resumes as Yuya Shiina, a bounty hunter who uses firearms, tracks down Kyoushirou—now traveling as a licentious, itinerant healer burdened by heavy debts. While attempting to collect the reward, she and Kyoushirou are assaulted by a monstrous, nonhuman foe intent on consuming him. The attack triggers the emergence of "Demon Eyes" Kyou, an alternate persona that has been sealed within Kyoushirou since that climactic encounter. This development launches a saga centered on the intertwined fates of two legendary swordsmen and the gradual uncovering of the mysteries surrounding them.
