Synopsis

Satoshi arrives at Fura City to take part in the Wind Festival and compete in the Get Race with Pikachu. Eager to win, they face local challengers, including Kagachi, a boastful man prone to lying who joins after his niece Lily persuades him. With little understanding of Pokémon, Kagachi enlists the help of Torito, an awkward scientist, offering a deal so Torito will assist with a public address. After Kagachi unexpectedly wins, Satoshi also meets Risa, a former regional track and field champion who is now seeking to capture a Pokémon. During Torito’s speech, Team Rocket intervenes and absconds with a laboratory capsule. Soon after, the festival’s Sacred Flame vanishes, triggering a chain of misfortunes. Determined to find who is responsible, Satoshi, Pikachu and their new companions set out on a search that brings them into contact with many people along the way—including Zeraora, the Thunderclap Pokémon long thought to have perished—leading their journey into uncertain and emotional territory.
