Synopsis
In the remote Forest of Okoya, a troop of mythical Zarude enforces a strict ban on outsiders within their domain. A separate corner of the jungle is home to Koko, a human child reared by a solitary Zarude who left the troop. Having been raised among Pokémon, Koko believes himself to be one of them until an unexpected encounter with Satoshi and Pikachu brings his first human companion into his life. As danger encroaches on the jungle, Koko’s sense of identity—whether he is truly a Pokémon or actually human—and the connections between Pokémon and people, along with the parental bond that shaped him, are challenged.
