Set in a future where nuclear and biological conflicts have ravaged much of the world, this adaptation merges the original visual novel's plot with material from the light-novel sequel. A young scavenger, known as a 'Junker,' explores a sealed, abandoned urban area and discovers a service robot dutifully waiting for visitors inside a department store's rooftop planetarium.
