Synopsis

Hi no Tori follows an immortal phoenix that observes humanity across epochs, from ancient prehistory to far-flung futures. Serving as a silent witness and recorder, the bird links a succession of stories that examine recurring human struggles: the pursuit of power, the demand for justice, and the yearning for freedom. The series presents these themes through distinct arcs—Dawn (Reimei-hen), Resurrection (Fukkatsu-hen), Transformation (Igyou-hen), The Sun (Taiyou-hen), and Future (Mirai-hen)—each depicting different eras and facets of mankind’s ongoing conflicts and aspirations without revealing their outcomes.
