Synopsis

Upon returning from summer break, the students of Ninjutsu Academy learn that an error by Komatsuda has resulted in all their summer assignments being interchanged. Consequently, Kisanta, having received an assignment intended for a sixth-year student, has gone missing after attempting to infiltrate Oomagatoki Castle to obtain its lord's fundoshi. A contingent, including Shinbei and Kirimaru, is dispatched to locate and retrieve him. This mission is made challenging by the ongoing conflict between Oomagatoki Castle and Tasogaredoki Castle. Concurrently, Ninjutsu Academy receives a request for assistance from a village affected by the war, prompting Rantarou and the remaining students and teachers to travel there to offer support.
