Synopsis

The Sanyo household's routine is altered when a young ninja named Hattori arrives from the Iga mountains and takes up residence as a lodger. Seeking to experience ordinary school life, he enrolls discreetly and forms a close bond with Kenichi Sanyo, a boy his own age. Hattori's daily activities sometimes include the company of his brother Shinzo, a loyal ninja dog called Shishimaru, and Kenichi's companion Yumeko. Their group faces challenges posed by a rival faction led by Kemumaki of the Koga clan and his ominous companion, Kagechiyo the Shadow-cat. The story balances light domestic moments, undercover school adventures, and the tension of competing ninja influences.
