Synopsis

The team from the Spirits and Such Consultation Office—leader Arataka Reigen, psychic Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama, Ritsu Kageyama, Katsuya Serizawa, and the spirit Ekubo—travel to Zebra Prefecture for a restorative stay at the Ibogami Hot Springs. Their lodging costs are covered by the hot springs' proprietor, who has invited Reigen to look into rumors of supernatural occurrences nearby. During the train journey to the inn, a fatigued Reigen and Serizawa drift into sleep, only to awaken in a spectral parallel dimension. Faced with the mystery of how they arrived there, the two must navigate this eerie world and attempt to return in time to salvage their planned day of rest. The narrative keeps the tone focused on the unsettling, uncertain atmosphere of an unexplained otherworldly detour while avoiding plot spoilers.
