Synopsis

After finishing high school, Gorou Honda sets out for America determined to reach Major League baseball rather than remain in Japan. Upon arrival he encounters a level of play marked by greater speed, strength, and determination than he has known. Undeterred, Gorou commits to bridging that gap by proving himself in the Minor Leagues, where a crowded field of talented players endures a demanding path toward the Majors. Alongside the athletic challenge, he must navigate unfamiliar cultural differences and push his limits physically and mentally as he pursues his long-held goal.
