Synopsis

After leaving his old teammates at Kaido High's baseball club, Gorou Honda comes back to his hometown intent on continuing the sport. Attempts to enroll at schools with established baseball programs fail because Tetsufumi Egashira relentlessly tarnishes Gorou's reputation, blocking his entry. With limited options, Gorou enrolls at Seishuu High School, where his childhood friend Kaoru Shimizu studies. Seishuu only transitioned to coeducation two years earlier, so it lacks a proper men's baseball squad. Determined to reach Koshien, Gorou assembles a team from the seven male students available—none of whom have real baseball experience. He commits to transforming these amateurs into contenders at the national level, facing the practical and emotional challenges of building a team from scratch while contending with past rivals and the possibility of failure. The story follows his efforts to train, unite, and inspire this untested group as he strives to confront Kaido again on the field.
