Synopsis

Under a year after the Macross 7 series, Basara parts ways with Fire Bomber and journeys to the planet Zola. On Zola he encounters Elma, a devoted admirer of his band, and becomes entangled in local conflict. The planet’s marine megafauna—massive space whales—are migrating through the system, and a faction of hunters, including Elma’s father Graham, threaten them. Forced to rely on his Spiritia-derived abilities once more, Basara aims to prevent the hunters from slaughtering the creatures while navigating his relationship with Elma and the moral complexity introduced by Graham’s involvement.
